Lighthouse Point and Bahamas Itineraries released in 2024
In summer 2024, guests sailing on the Disney Magic from Fort Lauderdale will get to visit a brand-new private Bahamian destination on Eleuthera named Lighthouse Point. This destination is built with families in the mind and infused by the color and energy from Bahamian artistsry. It is committed to conservation.
The first sailings to Lighthouse Point will be in June of 2024. Disney Vacation Club members will be able to sail on two cruises at the same time, and visit Lighthouse Point as well as Castaway Cay.
Disney Treasure will feature a new adventure theme
Disney will add Disney Treasure to their fleet in 2024. The new design of this ship is inspired adventure.

It will feature a 3-deck atrium inspired from a gilded royal palace. This design is very similar to the Disney Wish. In the ship’s Grand Hall, you will find a central statue featuring Jasmine and Aladdin.
More Adventures in Alaska or the Caribbean
Disney will start offering sailings to Alaska from the Disney Wonder in the summer 2024. This will give guests even more opportunities to experience the state. These itineraries will be available for five, seven, and nine nights and will stop at ports such as Skagway and Ketchikan.
More itineraries are also scheduled for the Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish, cruising to sun-kissed islands in The Bahamas and Caribbean. These itineraries include a roundtrip from Port Canaveral into the Bahamas with Castaway Cay.
A New Private Bahamas Destination Has Just Been Launched
Disney announced plans this spring to open a second private Bahamas island. This new destination will be located at the southern tip Eleuthera and will be part of a partnership with Disney’s Castaway Cay resort.
Lighthouse Point will be the new name of the resort and will offer family-friendly experiences as well as eco-themed experiences. The resort will also offer unique programming in its Arts and Cultural Pavilion, as well as a number of shore excursions developed with local tour operators.

On February 28, 2021 the male passenger of a Disney Cruise nearly drowned as he went to Castaway Cay for a family vacation. This accident was a reminder to Disney that safety is paramount.
