Quantum of the Seas Cruise Ship

carnival cruise customer service

Royal Caribbean cruise ships include the Quantum of the Seas. It is the Quantum Class's leading ship. In 2014, it was the third largest cruise vessel. The ship currently serves the Alaska cruise market. The ship's most notable features are the North Star, an adult-only solarium and Dynamic Dining.

North Star

The North Star is a feature on Quantum of the Seas that gives guests the chance to experience a 360-degree view of the world around them. The glass capsule is located on the top deck. A mechanical arm can lift it up and down to 300ft above sea level. It can rotate 360 degrees giving passengers a panoramic view over the ship and surrounding ocean. Its design is inspired by the London Eye, a famous Ferris wheel.

The North Star can take up to fourteen passengers and one wheelchair passenger. It can extend over the side of the ship on sea days, but during port, the pod will not extend over the side of the ship. Crew members will close down the pod during bad weather and limit its movement. Reservations are recommended for the ride, but not required.

Skydiving

The iFly simulator lets passengers experience the thrill of freefall, weightlessness and a glass flight room. You can experience the thrill and freedom of freefall from the simulator located on Deck 16. You can take a class either in tandem or as an individual. The instructor will explain the basics and guide passengers through the experience. The experience is great for the whole family. It's available on all Quantum Class ships.

cruises news

This is a rare opportunity to see the ocean from a new angle aboard the Quantum of the Seas. The ship features 16 decks with 2,090-cabins. Below is a video that shows the entertainment options available and the view from the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. It also mentions some ship's faults.

Solarium for adults only

Royal Caribbean ships include an adult-only solarium with a hot tub, pool, and loungers. Quantum and Oasis class ships have the largest solariums. They also have the Solarium Bistro attached to the pool deck. Although the Harmony of the Seas lacks an adult-only Solarium, it does include a walk-through mister to spray water into the pool.

The newest Royal Caribbean ship, the Quantum of the Seas, features an Adult-Only Solarium. The space is spread over two floors and has a glass roof above. It offers a thalassotherapy pool, four large Jacuzzis, and one large round swimming pool. You can also find light snacks and beverages in the lounge of the Solarium.

Dynamic Dining

Dynamic Dining by Quantum of the Seas is an innovative new way to dine on the ocean. Dynamic Dining gives guests more control over the places, times, and people they dine with. This flexible system allows you to make reservations for any dining event well in advance, or even before you board. Royal Caribbean can also arrange group coordination services.

Quantum of the Seas offers four dining rooms with rotating menus. The Dynamic Dining concept was originally a concept introduced by Disney Cruise Line and Norwegian Cruise Line. It was not popular and will be discontinued by Anthem in November 2016. The concept started with four complementary main dining rooms featuring different cuisines, but eventually evolved into a rotational system. On a nightly basis, table mates would rotate through the different restaurants.

FAQ

Do I need to book my cruise before booking my flight?

It depends on where you are travelling to. It is generally better to book your cruise before you travel because it gives you more flexibility with dates. You could, for example, plan your cruise around the summer months if you are sure you will be visiting Europe. On the other hand, if you are going to Asia or South America, you might want to book your cruise later to avoid high season prices.

Is food free on a cruise?

The answer is yes! All cruises come with complimentary food. However, you must purchase drinks to enjoy them.

The cost varies depending on what type of ship you are sailing on. A luxury liner cruiser may cost $20-30 per person, depending on the drink you purchase. If you're sailing onboard a smaller vessel, you'll likely pay less at around $10-15 per person.

Why shouldn't I book my cruise in advance?

It is not always necessary to book your cruise in advance. Sometimes, it is cheaper to wait until last minute. If you do decide to wait, book early. You will be able to avail of exclusive deals and promotions from cruise lines.

What should I do on my cruise?

You should think about where you would like to go if you're interested in visiting other ports of call. This information will help you narrow your search. You might choose a cruise that includes places such as Alaska and Bermuda, Canada, England. France. Greece. Italy. Spain. Turkey. You may be more interested in water sports and beaches, so you might consider a trip that includes destinations such Jamaica, Aruba. Bahamas, Costa Rica. Panama. Hawaii.

Do I need to dress up for a cruise?

No, you don't need to wear formal attire or anything fancy. Simply be comfortable and open to relaxation.

Are there any disadvantages to cruising?

There are some things that you should be aware of when considering the pros and cons of cruising. Some people may decide that they don’t want to spend the entire vacation on a yacht. Some people prefer to be closer to the shore or stay in a hotel. Some may not like being so far away from the land. However, these fears can be easily overcome by choosing a cruise that includes plenty of time ashore.

How To

How to avoid being seasick while on a cruise

Wearing a hat on a cruise will help you avoid getting seasick. By keeping the head in a fixed position, a wide-brimmed hat prevents motion sickness.

Also, a hat helps keep water off your face, which reduces the humidity. This makes breathing easier for people prone to feeling dizzy when they breathe in moist air.

Another tip is that you should drink lots of fluids. Avoid alcohol or caffeine. These drinks dehydrate the liver, causing fluid to pool in the stomach. Salt levels can be decreased by drinking enough liquids. Salt can cause the body to retain water, leading to nausea.

Eat something salty if your stomach is feeling nauseous. Salty foods cause the stomach to produce more hydrochloric acid, which helps break down food particles in the digestive system.

These are just some of the possible ways to reduce seasickness. Be aware that some medications may have side effects such as drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, and headaches.
